Psychedelic, cosmic crooner from the bowels of Tropical North Queensland Australia Nathan Roche has been stuck in France for over 10 years where he fronts the Garage hip/hop spoken word nightmare of Le Villejuif Underground (Born Bad Records) and paranoid noise experimental duo CIA Débutante (Siltbreeze)… he has played hundreds of shows…festivals..from empty rooms in Portugal to squats in Belgrade to sell out crowds in China…written a handful of books, become a Céline fashion model, a marseille petty criminal, stared in several french short films, got deported to the deserts of Morocco and now lives on top of a mountain in a hobbit house somewhere between the italian/french border with his ex-wife…his fourth solo LP “A Break Away” (along with 40+ other records overall?) was released in 2022 to little acclaim his new one “35 Rue du Théâtre” (Celluloid Records) is out in September 2025..he plays solo and with whoever else can be bothered to join him …expect the dream/nightmare collaboration or drunken train wreck of Kevin Ayers and Alex Chilton meeting in a coastal bar with Kan fucking Mikami selling them sushi…he has played along side the likes of Billy Childish, The Rebel, Dan Melchior, Tav Falco, Destroyer, The Dead C, Roy Montgomery and the dead corpse of JOHN LENNON..plus hundreds of others living and dead…he plays songs from an extensive back catalogue with a rollicking band of misfits or charasmatically in solo mode with a dusty mackintosh and borrowed guitar…
